As far as I'm aware they search Experian but not 100% certain.

if you dont mind i would like to give my opinion.
ive lurked on the old thread and this one for a very long time.im not the most sociable person and my communication skills are far from good.
i have found the thread very helpfull at all times.
however as the thread has increased in popularity, it has,in my opinion, seemed to have less content of a factuall/helpfull basis, from the point of view of someone that doesnt follow it.
obviousley the help and advice is still on the thread.however i think to someone looking for advice and visiting for the first it may appear to be less accessible.remember it doesnt happen on here, but people regualy get there heads bitten off on this forum.
extremely entertaining lurking though.
perhaps you should start a new thread for sub prime with mr p and nid working together to give what has always been great advice.
like i said though my communication skills are crap so perhaps thats the basis for my opinion.
Mate, don't get the wrong idea - I do respecr Mr P and have nothing against him - I get cheeky, he tells me off, I calm down - then back to the boards..... its the way we work!
Seriously though, we can never be mates all the times and we will disagree - for instance Mr P has totally different beliefs to me in that I fight for the consumer and want you guys not to pay the banks whereas he believes that you should pay your debt off.
See my point? There will always, inevitably, be the odd disagreement please don't get drawn into it, just ignore it cos it sorts itself out before it even begins in most cases. Mr P & I are both strong willed characters and have different opinions.....
For the record, this is a good thread but all the banter that comes with it is a laugh, newbies usually go to page one for immediate help or they can post and we'll help them, it isn't off putting as most the time its a laugh and that is the way Mr P want's it to remain.
Please don't pick-up the wrong signals, it is impossible for everyone to get on and to be fair, I have kinda taken over Mr P's thread (along with others)!
Hope this clears matters up for you, well my perspective anyway....2010 - year of the troll
