Mate I got this in Jan originally, well before my search fest! I had less than 5 searches in Jan and had to appeal the decline. They said ok, but a £2k limit and then dropped it a couple of times since but they now know it isnt me at linked address so they wont drop anymore.

That proves they do act on the monthly updates so dont be in debt with a BOI card or they strip your limit monthly....

    Humble Pie?;)

    £5000 Crimps. That's a healthy limit. :D

How can someone on benefits get a £5000 limit? If you were to max all of you cards would you be able to pay them back?

Good morning Innocent,my first cc was halifax started 1000 limit had this for about 4yrs now never missed or had late payments so kept getting increases i also have my morgage and main bank account with them.I've taken advantage to balance transfers when i can. Thanks to this thread i managed to get 5000 limit with flybe and took advantage of 0% balance transfer which has just ended so iv'e transfered back to halifax on a 2.95lob.I have enough sense not to max all my cards & am currently working at paying them of as i think good deals are becoming harder to find.
