Evening all, do you mind an on-topic story?
A couple months ago, just having started to work over here, I only had an account with the minimal possible overdraft (£10), but have applied to mycashplus with creditbuilder. Out of interest, over the past year, I asked in the branch if I could have a creditcard, they said yes, but then I got a refusal by mail. Somwhat later I attempted to apply for Cap1, and after the "we will let you know" notice, they refused me as well.
In February, I could finally confirm that I was on the electoral roll, and asked for the card again, and before I left the bank, they have shown me that I got accepted (£260).
I also saw that the creditbuilder "loan" just started putting zeros in my credit file, so to build it up, I applied for the sub-£10 contract from O2, and they accepted me as well, I just had to call them to confirm my ID
This week, I have noticed that the online overdraft application is open to increase by £100. I have tried to apply for it, but at the final steps, it just put me at the login screen again. I have even sent an email inquiry to see what's the problem, and they told me there's no problem, but I still couldn't do it. When I called, they almost applied it to my account, but then the line went quiet
I just called again, and after a lengthy discussion with another lady, (first, she claimed she can't see any increase would be possible???), she has just changed my overdraft to £100! And when I check my account, what do I see? "You can apply to have it increased to £200." I don't think they would welcome me doing it just now :rotfl:
I just hope they didn't put me on PPI without asking...Enjoy the silence...0 -
