LOL, yea these are called a working file or referred to as a green file in HR terms (but you never knew that did you lol)
You wouldn't have the same access as the HR dept - trust me. It would be illegal as all HR records are to be kept confidential and you certainly cannot access your own file - or you could change your grade/pay/records/ etc etc
It all conforms to something called Financial Regulations believe it or not!2010 - year of the troll

LOL - you are deffo entertaining mate....
You're getting confused to your working branch copy from the master HR copy, which will contain things your management say about you and your own appraisals etc.....

Not taking the P or nothing, I don't know if you know how express stores work but we do our own payroll too.
Yea I know how they work, same as Metro - but point remains you're classed as a franchise so will have your own working copies but your HR dept in Cheshunt (Herts) has a master copy with things like your application form and tax/NI/Pension details etc etc....
