hi all
does aqua accept people with default? my cousin been refused credit, and I helped him check his credit file. he was shocked to learn there is default in his account for a mobile phone which got for his brother who refused to pay the last bill. Now the bill is for £180 unsettled, the debt since 2002 but default notice was registered 2006. now what are his options?? is there anyway removing this? he obviously prepared to pay.0 -
Hi there!
I recently obtained my credit score from CreditExpert. The result was 'Fair' 862 points my result was quite close to 'Good'. I discovered that I was not on the electoral role so getting on the register should improve my score. I will not appear on the role until 2nd March. CreditExpert stated that if I get on the electoral role and get another credit agreement that this would improve my score to excellent.
A few days later I recieved an e-mail from a company which asked questions and then matched my score to credit cards suited to my circumstances. I foolishly believed this and made an application to Virgin which was declined. Virgin referred me to Aqua. Aqua seemed to match my circumstances and was aimed at those with a poor credit history. I decided that as I had a fair/decent/average credit score that I should apply as I thought I had a decent chance of being accepted. I was declined. I am now disgusted to have two declines on my report. I was looking for a card as security whilst going traveling and also to build up my credit report as was advised by creditexpert. My father has suggested he add me as an additional card holder. We now have the forms but it seems I might as well be applying for a card myself as this too states that there may be a credit search etc. Obviously if there was there would be a decline if Aqua declined.
As I was working as a seasonal worker last year and I am due to travel in March my status is unemployed so is this the reason for the automatic decline? I think HSBC automatically decline for this but Aqua stated that they did lend to the unemployed. My bank balance is in the black. I regularly make all repayments and never miss my contract phone payments. I honestly thought based on the creditexpert info that I would be accepted but obviously I was wrong.
What can I do to fix this? I feel as though I should never have got my credit report from Experian/CreditExpert as it seems to have left me in a bit of a mess. Also what is the point/benefit in an additional card? if you have to make a credit application would it not be better to have your own account?
Cheers!0 -
evening all
Well i decided to go into my work and say sorry etc cause i decided i wasnt giving the boss the satisfaction of me doing it cause he is a complete knob.
Well it looks like i will struggle to find enough money to cover the bills and my payments the end of this month. I would like to know what i can do to warn the creditors etc about this.0 -
Do you have any form of unemployment cover?Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Don't you have to be made redundant for the insurance to payout?
So wouldn't your employer take you back after you were magnanimous enough to apologise?0
