yes, have checked my files this week - was v nervous about it!!
I have 5 defaults from 2002/2003 - all satisfied.
apart from that I have HSBC Plus account with cheque book etc, HSBC loan, Cap1, Vanquis, Aqua, Littlwoods, empire, LW Direct and as of today JD Williams. I also have a mortgage in mine and boyfs name since 2007. All payments for everything since 2003 have been on time so lots of green 0's.
Biggest prob is that I have 9 searches in the last 6 months eek!!!!!!!
For those who are interested, I had a basic account with HSBC - opened it when my situation was dire in 2003. Ran it well for 6 months then went in to ask for an upgrade to current account (expected them to laugh at me!) - they upgraded me, gave me OD etc and a CC!!! a year later I applied for my loan but as part of the agreement I had to pay off my cc and close the cc account. since then they on't give me another cc - hence why I am on the sub-prime ones trying to improve credit rating!!! The point is I think HSBC are good, if you run their basic account well they will defo upgrade you.0 -
Sounds like HSBC gave you what is known as a managed loan - you use the loan to pay off your CC and OD and are not able to get more credit from them.0

yes, it sounds like it. although at the time I had an overdraft facility but had never used it. I was speaking to HSBC recently and they said I will be eligible to apply fo a CC in august - i guess they must have put a 'no further credit' thing on me for a set amount of time.
think i will just sit tight till then and try not to apply for anthing else. I did write to BOI tihs week to appeal their decline for a CC...... not expecting a positive response considering my defaults.0 -
