Ok, budget for around £300, that will get you a Pentium Class machine with at least 1GB of RAM, stay clear of Intel Celeron processors - they are just flase emcomey mate.
Try Dell, HP, ACER direct sales and try Dixons and Currys as they normally have good deals on, also look at MISCO and EBuyer.com too.

Cheers dude, Im looking to spend about £500..

I'm after this one see here.

Any one fancy lending me the £800 to get it. Lol

Ive got a vaio myself the FJ1Z which is like 2 years old but tell you what, its a great laptop and suits me to a t! I paid a grand when it came out from sony style but now the spec is soooo outdated.

The one you mention above is high spec, maybe a little too much for the average home user mate. Try downgrading by like 300 quid!!!!

mate dont blame the shop for the crappy laptop - blame the user LOL

Ok, try formatting back to factory settings using the recovery console - that will clean it out and make it like new again from the inside so things will speed up etc again......

then if you still want to get rid, sell it on eBay and use the cash toward new one.....
