The mobile phone company does the credit check - not the seller

when I applied for a Vodafone at christmas through cpw - it was vodafone who credit checked me although cpw said they check you also - dunno how though.

Thanks, I wanted to get that cleared up because I was looking on "who uses which credit agency" and it says CPW do credit checks. So I'm a little confused.

mate, CPW searched equifax with me, but came up as O2, not CPW. No mention on Experian (dont use call credit so unknown).

My Brother applied for a O2 contract last night via O2 direct, declined, and I was just interested if he could use CPW, I want an Iphone but my Brother has better credit.

In my experience Orange is quite easy to get. They accepted me at an address that didn't even exist - they took it down wrong!
