Have just applied on-line for Post Office card. Would like to get rid of Vanquis due to the high interest.
Thought I would apply during working hours to see if I could get an instant decision...but just got we will let you know in writing within 5 days:(
I wonder what criteria you have to meet to get an instant decision....I keep wondering if it's because I live in rented property although we have been there for 15 years!
No great loss if it's a "no" but just wondered if other people have this problem with "instant decisions"0 -

I have HSBC Plus, HSBC Advantage, Lloyds TSB, Barclays (all banks)
I have Vanquis, Amex Gold (chargecard - no limit) and the BOI soon to be delivered I hope!
Remember my credit aint bad through my fault, it was the ID fraud that done it to me (plus my 100 odd searches)....
Been with HSBC since 18 December matey :beer:0 -

You should of tried Flybe Jack, they are quite good at instant decisions.0 -
I do have the Flybe card but did not get an instant decision on that either. Seems to be some reason why I never get an instant decision!
Looks like I am going to have to stick with the 1 card with a good interest rate and limit and then the sub-prime ones.0 -

Hi,
Post Office cards are issued by Bank of Ireland who rarely issue immediate decisions. Maybe cos they are in N.I and don't link to our Electoral Register - i'm not too sure but it is known that they don't issue many instant yes decisions.
It's not you, it could be anything such as a month wrong in employment or a salary increase that differs from your last application with another lender (if they use Hunters as part of application this would be a decline).
HTH - Mil...What a HSBC advantage?
Sorry mate, meant to say Advance. Will edit the OP>You should of tried Flybe Jack, they are quite good at instant decisions.
I can't believe you're advertising this !!!!!! mate - hahahahajack290292 wrote: »I do have the Flybe card but did not get an instant decision on that either. Seems to be some reason why I never get an instant decision!

If you got the Flybe card then you should get the PO card. I got a cifas from Sygma (flybe) - and hate em! Constant arguing to get them to remove the incorrect cifas entry!!!Some say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

When did you open your second account with HSBC?
I opened it a couple of weeks ago mate - I didn't do it online, I rung my branch and spoke to woman that knew about the ID theft etc from when I went in to open the Plus back in December. Although my visa card (debit card) linked with the advance account is an authorisation all card - it said it on my PIN advice so not happy!
I'll wait 3mth til my behaviour score increases then change it a normal c/g card....Where do you work Milford, a ginger wig factory?:rotfl:
You're gonna get a slap biatch hahahahamilfordmadness_ages_ago wrote:I applied for 102 Hbos Reward Accounts
I just got my last decline and they only added 78 cifas - thought they would have put 102 cifas against me - fools!!!Some say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

You are joking 78?????
You come across as you don't give a sh*t. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Why all of them, did you lie?
I didn't know it told you it was an all authorisation card that's interesting.0 -

Yea, they added 78 so far! I guess the rest will come at later date! You come across as you don't give a sh*t. :rotfl: :rotfl:
I don't! What's the point? They will drop off in 13 months and I have that many searches that I can't apply for anything for that time anyway so I guess everything will fall off at the same time. TBH i'm too laid back to let !!!!!! like that get to me - more important things to worry about like where are my mates cos I want a pint and pool tournament haha!!Why all of them, did you lie?
Nope. But then what do you think, repeat applications in that volume! It does look dodgy after all but I thought they'd have rung me, after all I have had an account with them for a few years lolI didn't know it told you it was an all authorisation card that's interesting.
It tells you on the PIN advice - the Plus card said PIN Advice for £100 chip and pin cheque guarantee card (£100).
The Advance account PIN Advice said this: PIN Advice for Full Auth Visa Debit Card. Some say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

Prompted by C8ndice I phoned MBNA and was told that the card will revert to a normal visa and will qualify for upcoming promotions and the £100 deposit will just be paid off the balance so will wait and see.
New to this thread, but I also have this MBNA Card, and approaching my 6th month - I've been told that I won't get the £100 back until I close the account0
