How do i stop third party texts

I keep getting stupid texts from companies or con merchants. I take it my number has been passed on to third parties. There is one inparticular that i can not stop. There is a number to unsubscribe but if i do it automated it says its cancelled yet continue to recieve them. I i hold to speak to someone im always in a queue of about 8 and as soon as you reach 2 in queue they tell you that due to high volume its best to ring back or leave a message. Needless to say they dont do anything and continue to send these texts....Its a big con..

ask your provider to block texts from that number?0

provider won't be able to block texts from that number
as deano says - goto http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/ they will be able to give you advice
in an extreme ask your provider for a replacement sim with a different number - you can argue you are recieving these texts maliciously0
