Sorry for dragging up an old post, but I like to keep neat and tidy! Still not booked for my mum, I like to hold out for a bargain, but since she's off this month thought I'd better get it sorted. Just noticed there's a Mariott hotel right beside Hilton, The courtyard (well it looks right next to the hilton on expedia map) has anyone stayed here, as its cheaper than the hilton but wasn't sure about walking distance etc to south terminal? Only asking as can't find any reviews on TA?
Just been on TA put in Courtyard London Gatwick Airport in search box lots of reviews hope this is the hotel you are talking about it is a Mariott hotel. We always stay in the Gatwick Hilton, park and stay booked up with holidayextras includes 3 course dinner.

I remember stayiong at Hilton Gatwick a while back-
OKish room, Long queues for food ( ended up going into airoprt instead!)

Unfortuantely the inclusive parking was not on site ( in deal I got- may be different ) - so long trip on bus to take car / awful queue for coach on return

Now you have the option to use the Summer Special parking (the one that you have to take the coach to upon return) or the Euro Park which is right next to the hotel...Euro Park is the more expensive option, but was £20 more total over 9 nights when we went in October...£20 for the 2 of us not to have to wait for the coach, wait for the coach to depart full without us on it, then wait 20 minutes, repeat...instead just walk to the Hilton, out the door, down the street...get our car...that was totally worth it to us...as far as I could tell the cars were kept on site so were exactly where we left them.

L.L - have you looked at holidayextras? Check the undercover hotels - it's really easy to figure out which ones they are by sorting by distance and checking between the descriptions...sometimes can get a really good discount that way.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    The hotel's website says:

Driving Directions: By foot turn right on leaving the South Terminal building following signs for Schlumberger House, hotel situated on the right (5 min walk).
