I love staying at the YOTEL .. the "rainfall shower" is amazing!"Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0 -

Sorry for dragging up an old post, but I like to keep neat and tidy! Still not booked for my mum, I like to hold out for a bargain, but since she's off this month thought I'd better get it sorted. Just noticed there's a Mariott hotel right beside Hilton, The courtyard (well it looks right next to the hilton on expedia map) has anyone stayed here, as its cheaper than the hilton but wasn't sure about walking distance etc to south terminal? Only asking as can't find any reviews on TA?Lynzie Lou :dance:0

Another vote for the Yotel from me. Think of it more like a railway cabin. You are there right on the terminal when you get up. Used the one in Heathrow a few times, so much more convenient.
Sofitel? REALLy expensive!! Well, I think so. Any other hotel involvingbusses you have to remember to add on the extra £5 each way for the Hoppa busses.
You have to watch many of the hotels at Gatwick, the Sofitel is the only one attached, most of the hotels require transport, even though they say Gatwick they can be up to 5 miles away.0 -
I don't know how much the Arora rooms are but it's actually by the train station at Crawley which is 7 ot 8 minutes or so by train to Gatwick South.0

Thanks, but I am looking for information on the new Mariott!Lynzie Lou :dance:0

I remember stayiong at Hilton Gatwick a while back-
OKish room, Long queues for food ( ended up going into airoprt instead!)
Unfortuantely the inclusive parking was not on site ( in deal I got- may be different ) - so long trip on bus to take car / awful queue for coach on return
Re Marriot - http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/airport-hotels/info/gatwick/courtyard_by_marriott_gatwick/?hotelId=202&roomTypes=2&number_of_rooms=1&airport=1&start_day=02&startMonthYear=07-09#info_panel
implies whilst a coach - also walking distance
FHR ( who I've used many times ) have Marriot and Hilton at similiar pricesAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
