Easy Jet - Speedy boarding?
Comments

I travel quite often with Easyjet and never bother with Speedy boarding. At Glasgow and Malaga they board families with children under 5 with speedy boarders and before the rest of the passengers.:j Debt free since 31/01/08:j

Thanks everyone for your replies. We've now re booked with another airline so we don't have to contend with racing to get a seat.0

The problem started the problem when the departure gate was changed at the last moment, meaning all customers had to move to the new gate. No announcement was made for SB customers, therefore we had to apologise ourselves to customers that we had paid SB. We were transported onto two buses, all other customers followed after us. We were bused to the plane and left standing on the bus for 15 minutes because the crew were not ready. As we were first on the bus it meant we were last off the bus and therefore last on the plane.
On contacting Easyjet by email (which is another problem, as it is not easy to find the link to complain about their service!), I have been informed I they cannot offer a refund and that whilst they understand my frustration they are a non-refundable company and the cost of speedy boarding is reflecting in the price for airports where they use buses.... having now done my research, there are numerous complaints about Barcelona and Easyjet should NOT be offering the service from this airport.
On the positive side... I have never had any problems with SB from the UK or Malaga. Malaga incidently uses buses, but have a roped off area on the bus and the system works very well.0
