I know what she was trying to do but it was the way she put it into words,
it just seemed a bit sharp and could discourage other posters
Imagine her actually saying it loud and you will see what i mean.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I'll tell her to put anything she wants to say in between 'huggie smilies'. Then will it be OK?
I like ONWs style of posting. A spade is a spade, not dressed up in some silly huggy, touchy feely nonsense.0 -

I think that is a case of pot calling kettle black there?
As krisskross has said, it is extremely disheartening when regulars put in time and effort to help people with benefit entitlement, only for a new board to appear and certain members (namely munchings) to detract from the good work being done here by trying to get people to duplicate threads elsewhere.
Whilst there is some excellent support and information given on the D&D board, there is also far too much incorrect information (such as 'only mention your bad days' when applying for DLA). This is why benefits queries need to be kept in one place, where those with expertise and experience are more likely to be found.Gone ... or have I?0 -

I find it totally confusing and don't understand why they are not grouped together. If it was just Disability it would make more sense, but the 'Dosh' makes it confusing for new people imho.
I agree, the name is misleading (several of us mentioned that at the time it was decided). I still don't see the need for a separate board, the issues covered on there were already covered quite sufficiently elsewhere.

The Disability and Dosh board appears to be much more about mutual support and chat. Reminds me of the Arms. Also I get the feeling that you are not particularly welcome there unless you present your disability ownership credentials.0 -
Just to add there is a poster on there being advised that their Incapacity Benefit will be affected if they move in with someone. People need to come here for accurate advice.0
