Why Attack People with Bad News?

Reading through the posts it seems as though a lot of people don’t want to read anything Negative or Bad?

Anyone who posts information regarded as ‘BAD NEWS’ is called a Troll

Are people scared? Seems like everyone’s in there nice little bubble and they don’t want it to pop.

Sure it’s ok to disagree with someone’s post or a news story, but to say ‘You’re a Troll, Go Away!’ seems wrong.

We need to share the knowledge good or bad.

It is also that some of this bad news is actually good news for first time buyers.

Buy to let investors don't seem to like to hear how vulnerable their position there are. However with their repossession and big price falls it means the majority of first time buyers are closer to affordable homes, a good thing.

yeah but its not that long ago many were quick to rub the FTB's nose in it when they came on having a moan about house prices and not being able to afford to get on the laddder.

    i thanked you by accident.

if you post bad news and it's realistic it's not really a problem. people will argue and discuss and then it's then of it.

if you post stuff like you did that i've added below that youy keep on posting don't expect people not to think your David Icke or Mr Reptillian

There are plenty of people on here who post bad news and are never called a troll.

There are some crazy posts about, but there are also many posters who know how to articulate their argument and take the time to back up their bad news with hard factual evidence from good sources. Good sources do not - as a rule - include myspace or nut job right wing US websites (except for entertainment value).

You just need to understand this community better. We like our facts and figures, so give them to us by all means, just make sure that they are reliable and not - as chucky says - end of the world stuff that will make us wonder whether you are David Icke.

What do the people do when you post good news?

Saying some of the posters get some kind of kick out of putting bad news on here is not a personal attack is it?

If they don't get a kick out of it why do they not also post good news and also argue against impending darkness.

Constantly posting how britain is going to go bust is not somthing I belive will happen so why should I agree with you? Is that a personal attack not beliving you?

PS some are just humour. I think some like to over inflate their self importance.

Yes, but what is objectionable is the apparant 'glee' and 'excitement' that accompanies some of the posting of bad news.

And yes that is true, a lot of it is humour, taking the p*ss out of those who take themselves waaaaaaaaaay too seriously (of whom there are many)

There are different ways of putting a point a view across and debate a point. A troll is not by definition a poster of "bad news". Suggest you look it up. I enjoy reading other peoples opinions as different events effect people in different ways due to all sorts of factors.

Well said. Seems some people just can't help shooting the messenger though. Sometimes I suspect that a few regulars come here just to argue and let off steam.

One of the best things about this group is that there are lots of links that bring news to your attention that you might normally have missed because it's simply not covered on the main media. The mainstream media is currently in headless chicken mode so while it gets across the message that things are bad, there is no real explanation of what is going on.

Anyone following the links which are frequently posted in this group by the various 'gloomsters' will get a much better informed picture. That's if they can get around the inevitable noise from the usual crowd of abuse slingers that accompanies the posting of 'gloomy' news links of course.
