Why Attack People with Bad News?

It is also that some of this bad news is actually good news for first time buyers.
Buy to let investors don't seem to like to hear how vulnerable their position there are. However with their repossession and big price falls it means the majority of first time buyers are closer to affordable homes, a good thing.
Hmmmmmm, this is a perfect example of what is generally termed as a Troll.
The poster has hi-jacked the thread to raise issues once again against BTL investors believing them to be in a vulnerable position. They have discounted the fact that there are many more standard Owner Occupiers which this situation would also affect and seems to take glee surround property being re-possessed.
The topic is moved away from the OP's query as to why people label others in such a way. If this poster had remained on topic without attempting to change the topic onto one of their personal vendetta against BTL landlords, then they are more likely not to be labelled as a "Troll"
Definition of an Internet Troll by WikipediaAn Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]

What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

Perhaps if your main motive is to spend hours every day 'taking the !!!!' (as you call it, a lot of what is posted is personal abuse in my opinion)
Well, I don't think I've ever abused you (either personally or any other way  ) but if you choose to take a little 'ribbing' in that way I apo:o logise
Now, pull yourself together......stop taking yourself so seriously, and lighten up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have thought the hecklers would all have been jumping to congratulate him for posting something positive. I guess maybe postive/negative news isn't the issue - Quelle Surprise.
Lest we forget, lower prices are very positive for an awful lot of people. They are one of the few positive things to be happening at the moment and once they reach sensible levels and stabilise it will be a milestone towards recovery.
(It might be bad news for a load of amateur BTLers who didn't do the sums before jumping into the market but they have to be responsible for their own financial decisions.)--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -
Excellent, we do not have to justify why we think you take glee from bad news either.
Normal service resumes.;)
I do hope that coming onto the internet to heckle complete strangers improves your life in some way.--

By an "awful lot", I hope you mean everybody.
The UK Economy has been blighted by unaffordable and unrealistic residential property prices. The whole economy, and therefore everyone who is affected by it will be in a better shape when residential property is affordable, and not seen as an investment opportunity.
Anyway, we have done this ad infinitum.
Can't we get back to not reading anyone's posts and being mean to anyone who types one individual word that we don't agree with ???'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

what is the point in going out of your way to a thread that was 4 years old and posting something personal against me. please tell me why you've just done this?
what do you get out of it?
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=18169049&postcount=16Ah, a Polaris world thread. Looks like a good place to bring this subject up.
So Chucky - which of the two claims you made to me about this property (about which you have now deleted all your postings) is true?
Did you get the deposit back as you originally claimed or did you flip it as you claimed the second time I mentioned the subject?
The only thing you seem to be definitive on is that you made a nice profit as you claimed in both versions of your story.
Yours inquisitively,
!!!!!!?
you've really let yourself down old chap and have come across as really, really horrible individual.
very sad, but true.0 -

Neither is objective. Both are supreme fact filters.0 -
Oh no some really bad news, ITV are axing Heartbeat , why can't they just get rid of all those stupid housing programmes that you all watch
I would think that 5 million viewers in todays splintered tv schedules would have been top $ seems not.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
