Just got back from Boots...
Picked up a Soltan kids suncare duo pack reduced to £2.49. Contains 200ml Factor 15 lotion and 200ml top spray coat for kids to make the lotion last 4 hours. The lotion alone was being sold separately for around £9.80 ish, so even though its on BOGOF at the mo that makes the lotion in the pack half the price of single ones - and I got the spray as well. Wasn't till I got home that I wondered if I bought 2 would I have got BOGOF on the pack as well...? Next time!
Oh, and got my first (and only?) EI voucher - spent around £10 and got £18 of points.0 -
Could always tack a Boots FAQ on the bottom of the first post I guess???
We can't possibly put all the bargains on....as some seem to be dependent on which store you shop at. But save the first thread for the bargains that are the best saving ???????0 -

3 x FCUK body spray / shower gel £5.25 ( reduced from £3.50 each )
3 x Ts Glosser £3 ( from about £4 each )
2 X Hair Science £1.99 (BOGOF)
Wasn't sure if FCUK was in Spend £10 save £4 promotion, so had Hackett Body Spray (£3.50 ) in reserve. Bought it anyway, because still couldn't see discount when items had gone through. Is this meant to be on ALL mens toiletries I wonder?
No idea how I only got 19 normal points, instead of 55? on a spend of £13.74.
700 Bonus points for
4 x Lynx Shower gel £4
3 x FCUK body spray / shower gel £5.25
19 normal points (remember it's 1 point for every whole 25p spent)
3 x Ts Glosser £3
2 X Hair Science £1.99I had 100 point vouchers for TS, fcuk, Hair Science and Hackett. Till bleeped after one of each had gone through, and I said ' but I'm buying more than one', but SA said one only. Anyway got 700 coupon points and 19 normal points. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Got my EI voucher from the machine today - the shelves were marked as BOGOF, but no mention of the price reduction. Knowing how slow Boots can be at changing shelf prices, I bunged 8 handwashes in my basket and lo and behold, they were reduced to £1.66 each when I got to the till, and I got 1200 points plus the £5 skincare voucher because I bought some other bits and pieces and managed to spend just enough to hit the £10 mark
Still no TD handcream on the shelves though.
Going back tomorrow with hubby's AC to see whether he gets an EI voucher - you can never have too much handwash!0 -
el6724 wrote:I always give my voucher in last - the SA was wrong! I think you should take them all back - they're usualy very nice at boots about returns so try not to be shy. Then go and purchase the whole lot again - to be on the safe side give the voucher first. If you just explain the situation to someone instead of getting a refund I think they would probably just add 150 points for the whole transaction.
They might add the 150 points as a courtesy at the till, but it will only be for one lot "per the voucher".This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I have noticed that I am washing my hands more often now, and always use hand lotion afterwards, in a subconscious effort to get through my evening primrose/ everyday Indulgence supplies. Doing my bit to prevent the spread of infection by exploiting Boots loopholes...0 -
chachiluz wrote::j :j :j :j I did it!!! I did it!!! :j :j :j :j :j . I managed to get the EI with Boots paying me for the privilege of buying their goods. 1800 points... I managed to get lovely supplies for my place in Spain. My guests are going to love the smellies.... :T :T :T :T :T
i also got the chocs, the voucher and the 75 points. The only snag is that I didn´t think of doing it in 2 lots, so 2 lots of chocs and 75 points and vouchers. Never mind.
I was also very nice to 2 of the SA, I give them a tip after one of them direct me to a nice little bargain: the countri living fruits of success mag and chocs reduce to 1 pound from 5. So not to bad, so since I started this I managed to get loads of goodies and 25 pounds saved on my AC. :T :rotfl: :T
Thank you girls...I will update the long list of offers on this thread later!
This is a really nice idea....and if I'm honest then I would take it. Unfortunately if as a shop assistant in Boots and you're found with any money on you at the till then its a sackable offence, no questions asked. Or at least it is in the store I work in  Haha...I've had to put so much 'tip' money in the charity pot because of me constantly telling customers where all the deals areHaha...I'm really not a v.g. shop assistant in terms of loyalty to the store!!! Give away as much as possible I say

That's what I ment - sorry if I didn't make it clear - it's why I recommended taking it all back then buying it again - otherwise the most I suspect you would get would be one lot of 1500 -

I took my son's card (he never uses it and only has £1.91 on it) into Chelmsford today and it didn't offer a coupon - shame really as I was going to bump his points up amd not hear SA's commenting on how many points I have on my card each time.:p So possibly it is random
.
Just realised that I never got my skin voucher after spending £14.84p. Although there is one printed on receipt the SA didn't hand me one. Blinkin' cheek!0
