 The times are safe crossing times - the big problem is as you say that non-local people don't take notice, and they get caught out by it because it's unusual to have a tidal access in the UK. The road isn't that long - at least when I last crossed it by bicycle it didn't seem very long to me....
 Anyway - yes the crossing times are on A4 sheets - but they are announced by much larger signs and there is no excuse for saying "I didn't see them". The system has worked well since 1954 when the causeway opened - only a few dozen careless idiots caught every year.There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
 In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0

            I forgot about this post we had a smashing time I post some pictures when I have time, We stayed in a great cottage and people though of everything for us, including information about places to go
 We went to the following places.
 Banburgh castle (2 miles way from sea houses)
 Holy island
 Edinburgh
 Alnwick castle
 Farne islnad didnt go on islands though we got wet slightly with sea spray
 The beaches are beautiful and the dunes go on for miles. Only wasted day was our last day it was wet and cold but we did go for awalk on the beach in the afternoon.
 We also went to the roman fort Alberia on the way up and stopped at Newcastle for retail shopping and then angle of the North.

 We were just talking about retiring the other day (long way off as we're only early 30's!), and I said I'd love to buy a cottage on the coast up there.Here I go again on my own....0
