Good thread! Don't keep mobiles in an inner jacket pocket if you get sweaty eg jogging - this water vapour can kill them.

I've had my Siemens SL45 for a number of years now - and before that my Dad had it. I'm looking round for a replacement now because of problems charging it.

Can anyone comment on how you go about getting a new battery for a Siemens please? I would like to pass it on to OH as an emergency phone.

My Aunt mentioned the other day that she is still on her first £20 worth of payg credit after several years! I have *no* idea how she has managed this but there's probably something in the idea of letting others ring you if they want you! :D

Samsung A30 here going on 4 years old and still going strong, not had a sniff of a problem with it, although that's sure to be the kiss of death.

I have my old brick here (Motorola m3788e) which I'm getting £30 trade in for against a Samsung S500 as the battery is no longer holding it's charge for more than 5 minutes :p

Just type "replacement battery for Siemens SL45" into whichever search engine you use and you should get a raft of links - saw one at £6.45 which isn't bad.

Re: The PAYG and your aunt, I have to admit that I only put £10 on mine each year and, to be honest, I think I'm on a free year this year as I've still got £6 odd left without putting anything on :D

Although i now have a D500 i still have in the cupboard a Philips Diga which people joke about. For those that dont know the sim card in this is actually the size of a credit card. We also have 3 philps savvys in the family 2 of which are still being used.
