Direct Debits not taken

Hi There,

I have just noticed that my broadband provider hasn't taken any payments from my account. I have been with them around 10 or 11 months so I will owe them around £200.

I understand that I will have to repay this and I want to contact them about this, as I don't want the amount I owe to keep rising, but do you think they will expect this paid in one go. I can't really afford to pay this at the moment as its a bill I wasn't expecting, I gave them direct debit details when they joined and I have no idea why they haven't taken payments.

Has this happened to anyone else? What do think the best approach to resolving this is? Any advice would be great.

Thanks for your help

Steve

Who's your ISP? Not Bulldog is it? Bulldog's billing is useless - I know someone that has been with them for over a year without a single bill/payment taken.

I'd just keep quiet - start saving up each month, into a little pot of money (in case they do ask for it), then you have the money available if they ask you to pay. One day, they just might think to bill you. ;)
  • It's with wanadoo, thanks for the tip might get a separate savings account set-up ready for them!

If they haven't taken payments surely it's still in your account?
