Good news, for once. Citi is now offering on-line SEPA Credit Transfers, free. (The £10 charge still stated on the website is, they tell me, a "mistake".)
So the only niggle remains the one mentioned in Michaels post of 29.01.2009, above: if you have both GPB and euro current accounts, you only get one debit card, and have to phone the call centre to get the card linked to your euro account if you are going to the eurozone, or want to do a euro purchase on-line.

I have just received my debit card for the euro current account and have also applied for a current account. I will keep the debit card linked to the euro account as I only intend to use the sterling current account to send there pounds and convert them to euros when there is a good exchange rate. I know I can send the pounds from HSBC directly to my euro current account, but citibank has no FP and it will take too long.

Have you made a SEPA transfer and seen whether they have charged you?

I'm told that if you have both USD and EUR current accounts you can pester them to send you a card for each. I haven't tried this though.

Can confirm that this is 100% true.

I had an incident where transactions made when the card was linked to one account were posted against another. I caused a fuss, and they've issued me with a separate card for my Euro account.

What I would say is that it looks like they botched their system to do it though. I now get two sets of statements. One set covers my USD and GBP accounts, in the name of Hazzanet.

The second set covers the Euro account... in the name of Hazzanet & Hazzanet. i.e. I'm a joint account holder with myself.

    Oh dear.
