Online trading software

Hi chaps

I wonder if any one can point me in the right direction, I'm looking at learning to trade stocks and shares, I'm looking for the software to do this.

Can any one recommend what to use?

Not quite sure what you are after. Various web sites allow you to trade in shares (eg Self Trade) - you don't need any software other than their web site.

If you want to do practice trading with virtual shares then have a look at this thread:

If you want sofware to pick stocks for you to buy - in my opinion if they seem to work traders keep them to themselves (many investment houses have in-house systems but none predicted the crash!), and if they don't they advertise them in big text to the public. I wouldn't touch them. Better to read up and choose your own shares, or buy funds to let a manager make the decisions if you don't fancy that.
