The best cat litter - help

I agree with using the crystals, my cat does the smelliest poos and the crystals reduce the odour considerably. They may be more expensive than regular litter but are well worth it, especially as they only need a complete change about once a month.
Must say, I don't think she'd take to a covered tray though, when she does a poo she perches on the edge so that her bum doesn't touch the litter. What a lady :rotfl:0 -
my cat does that too Amber...trouble is he is usually facing the wrong way and ends up going outside the litterbox!
i still can't wouk out how he doesn't tip the tray up, he is 5kg, and he balances on the edge using all 4 paws!0 -

My baby has only ever had a covered tray, as we live in a one bed flat so wanted to minimise odour....she loves the privacy....but her tail is always sticking out of the cat flap at the front..she has a huge area to go into but just perches on the edge.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0
