Do I need a PAC if my phone is unlocked

Hi all

sure this is a numpty question but I know nowt about mobile phones.

I am currently with Virgin (PAYG) and am thinking of switching to O2. My phone was unlocked when I bought it - do I still need to get a PAC or can I just get a sim from O2, whack it in the phone and off I go ?

Also any feedback on O2 would be most appreciated - especially customer service, reliability and coverage.

thanks in advance

J

Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

  • I think a PAC code is needed if you want to transer your number across to O2, but im not sure. Or is that a PUK code??

You only need a PAC if you want to keep your number.
O2 are probably the best for network coverage, I use O2 for PAYG but have never needed to speak to customer services so can't comment.
