    No, you are wrong.

Sorry Quentin but any policy I've ever had states that the policyholder is the main driver unless i specify otherwise. And since the father will insure the car with no named drivers, it will taken as read that the policyholder (ie OP's father) will be the main driver.

I'd also point out that alhough Quinn have intimated that he's legally insured, don't you think they'll be quite happy to take his premium knowing that if there's a claim they've got letters from him detailing what he's doing and therefore give them a get out? Especially given the tenacious reputation the claims guys seem to have.

Everyone knows the banger will be the op's car and insured by the op and the "dad's" seat actually being the car driven. What if the insurance ask for the mileage? insured for a year and only done a handful of miles? I'm sure if you read other insurance threads there is talk about "disclosure of matrial facts". In other words, anything that might reasonably affect the premium. I'm sure the OP's plan is such a fact and should be disclosed. I know he claims to have told the insurance. Legally they would probably have to say that he's insured but if he's clocking up 10000miles (possibly more) per year then it's fair to assume the insurance will not pay out in the even of a claim.

  • You sure Quinn Direct will cover you 3dr party on other cars,, as most ins companys its over 25`s.

it is possible to do,think you have to have a 30 cover note for tax.(not 100%)..you can get 30day ins like..
but i think the other car still has to be insured for you to be covered..!!!

this way just means you will lose everything in a big accident..

whatever your driving now is fast enough @ 17..lol
