  • Sorry forgot to say when you take out the PCP they give you the part ex value as a cheque (pay the minimum deposit) - I'd use this to pay off your outstanding loan, and maybe try and save for the couple of months while you're waiting for your car to be delivered.

    We're actually paying the maximum deposit as I'm still paying back a personal loan - but that was at 6.1% so totally different situation

    thanks all, I now have a nice shiney A3 1.6 with free fog lights and Music system upgrade on order. Haggled hard and all in all got it for £12K Got good trade in for my wreck, have done the sums and will run the personal loan on as only a year to go and I can afford to run both as mortgage has gone down by exactly the same as the repayment on the new car!!!
