I think 'cool' seems to unfortunately still about 'stuff'.

I voted not cool but I'd rather be uncool and better off.

We have some friends who think like us. Some of them took the step to cut their work hours long before we did. But 'cool' still seems to be associated with expensive items and lifestyle choices.

I was never 'cool' anyway, so I don't mind not being it now.

Besides, all us money savers are trend setters, so we'll be the cool ones soon enough! :rotfl:

We money save when / where we can - but we don't make a fetish out of it - prefer first to save the quality of our life when we can . . . . :j

I can't vote, no option for yes it's cool and I'm not embarrassed about it. I don't care what people think. Even told my mates about the haggling on my birthday and they were probably embarrassed not me, just for my cheek. As much as they applauded me for getting the discounts for the asking, they probably wouldn't have the bottle to do it themselves. Most stores have got huge markups on things anyway so can afford to give some discount off if you haggle.

My OH thinks its very uncool but I fight to change his opinion.

He's ok spending the money I've saved by being "uncool" though :rolleyes:

Ain't cool being in debt, ain't cool having no money to go out or treat yourself now and then. In fact, it sucks! Glad I'm well out of it!

Personally I think saving money is cool, but I know that most other people don't think it is. It is cool when you save money on boring things to allow you to do fun things.
