I'm quite new here, but have been reading and learning lots, and this morning called 02 and asked when I could cancel my contract (which was £15 a month + calls and texts, averaging about £35 a month).
They asked me what i wanted and then offered me 100 minutes and 100 texts for £25 a month. I said this still seemed a lot and I would think about it and get back to them. So right away rather than let me get off the phone they offered me it with a £5 a month discount and a new free X2 phone (retails at £129.99) with free delivery.
Would never have thought of this without finding this site, currently look like this ;D

Recently got a K700i as an upgrade after 12months contract were up, sold it on ebay for £190
Also got my xda2 replaced the month before just before the 12months are up so was new.0
