lemma, it may sound daft, but have you done the free bingo on bingo britain - for an outlay of £5 you have a pretty good chance of making a decent profit, because they give you £5 to play with every day for 30 days.....

my idea was that you could take whatever winnings you got over the 30 day period and treat yourself to something completely indulgent or frivelous, without the need to pay it to the revenue - remember, that winnings are tax free, so they won't even increase the amount you owe in any other respect!!

Page 86 of my diary gives the details.......well worth a go, it is a few mins work a day, you can do it any time of the day, with no need to watch out for free games, because you can use your free fiver on any game throughout the day - you can even prebuy and just check back later to see if you have won. Simple!

OH can have a go too - so for £10 between the two of you, as long as you use different bank debit cards, and different email accounts, you could come out with a nice little bonus. I've probably made £250 over the last month or so between me and OH....not bad for an "investment" of a tenner :rotfl:

My free bingo paid for me to go skiing next week. Just me and a girlfriend - no kids, no OH, no stressful work........just me, a mate, someone else doing our cooking, and a much needed break. Well worth it!!

Hi - just checking in. You are doing so well :T:T. What's the yearly total at now? it must be huge. You can't be far off now surely?
Are you aiming at the 33,00 in your signature? I got a bit lost -sorry. Anyway - onwards and upwards into next year.

Well, HMRC are doing it again.

They want ANOTHER bleeding review. How many reviews does it take?

Every time they say they will leave me alone it seems to be for no more than 2 or 3 months. I am a little behind with the agreed payments, about £1k, they would not pull the rug for that...,would they?

I am really trying my best. Cash flow has been difficult recently but i am still throwing all i have at these arrears. Its just the interest and penalties and then the compound interest etc on top is making the end goal beyond reach at the moment.

    I want to cry!

    I have just had enough.

    ((hugs)) to you lemma.

I am sure that your payment record this year to date is far far far better than most people who are making "arrangements" with them......and if they pull the rug now, they get nothing........whereas if they stick with you, they will get it all eventually.

Perhaps they just recognise that it is a struggle and you can negotiate a slightly easier amount?

Take the review - give them the details, and remind them that you are getting there.

Oh no - that's horrible. Like what Hypno said though - you're paying them 100 a day (YES A DAY) - how many people can say that? They must be able to see you're doing everything you can.
    Stick with it.

Don't be disheartened Lemma. As Hypno has said, talk to them. If you weren't making any payments or trying to avoid them it would be different. It would be their loss if they pulled the rug on you now. I can't see how it would go down well or be in their best interests to cause problems for someone who is making such huge, regular payments.

Keep going hun, we're all behind you every step of the way xxx

Announced in the "pre-budget" today.....not exactly the same as an individual, but the words are encouraging for someone in your position.

    · The “Time to Pay scheme” allowing small businesses to spread tax payments, to be extended “for as long as it is needed”;
