You have a classic case of "going round and round in circles" - it has nothing to do with "not making any sense" and everything to do with the fact that you are working bloody hard, paying off a whopping amount of debt, in circumstances that most people would find challenging to say the least!

You need a break.....it is perfectly natural in these circumstances to feel a mixture of emotions - you are worn out on all levels, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and the only thing to do is to get some rest, recharge your batteries, spend some time with OH, even if he is studying, and just take a breath or two.

It'll happen. You are making great steps towards that day :D Have you got a Debt free date (DFD) in mind?

Excluding my rolling tax bill, my DFD for everything else is April 2010.

By then i should have fettled the cc and hopefully the car loan from my father in law. As that is interest free and over 2 years i may give myself some extra space but i want rid of the cc, and i want to be out of tax and VAT arrears. I am up to date with the VAT again, but my next quarter is due end of August so i need to ensure that I have enough put by for that.

I feel like a hamster on a wheel.

Lemma you have been keeping up a blistering pace. I definitely think a break from work would do you good. To be debt free by April 2010 is brilliant and it is not far away - even if it slips a bit you will be debt free by next summer and that will be wonderful.

Don't kill yourself in the process being debt free wont do you much good then. And your little one won't be 2 for long enjoy some time with her too and your OH.

    Lots of hugs

Lurker here ... Do you use small business VAT (T/o at start has to be below £150K then you just pay a percentage of t/o - seem to remember its 7 or 8 %) you don't claim any back and only have to do accounts once a year. First year we did it it saved us £8K ! Its not very well known/advertised we had to dig to find out some info. We pay monthly over 10 months as well, which makes it easier.
