I know Maz but we don't have 'permanent' tutors, all are paid by the session, seems to be normal in Ad. Ed. It's hard when I think my teaching pays a good rate (just under £18 per hour) but by the time it's lost the tax/NI and I've done the prep. work and then taught it, the rate for the hours I do each month just slides terribly to probably not more than the admin rate I'm on (£7.50 per hour - after 3 rises since starting last March!)

If I ever get back to a situation where I'm earning a really decent salary, I am going to really appreciate every penny I have. I became debt free at the same time I left my last job so it's been a bloody struggle to be honest as I've not had a decent income in 20 months now.

With you on that one BB! Mine just about gives me £200 extra a month to chuck at stuff at the mo:o and even then is not guarenteed, if i was working full time i would be quids in.

well, I think that I'm more than ready to go back to full time work now and also take a leap back up the ladder. Cruella is well and truly sorted, processed and out of my head. I think May/June will be the time when any opportunities that are going to be offered will be there (I can think of 3 new posts that I will probably be interested in from what I have seen from the initial plans), although it also depends on anyone else who is interested in the department.

and really timing couldn't be better, as all this teaching n stuff has given you oodles of confidence...
