fab for putting weight on. I also feed Atora ( the blue one ) to my Rough Collie girl through the winter and just after a season, other wise she looks like a hairy coat rack.
what dry food are you feeding?
The Atora is a great idea! Im not feeding him dry food due to him not having many teeth in the front..bless!0 -
Thanks FC...his name is Harry. Ive been feeding him on Pero working dog food. He has had terrible diarrhoea since though! Ive fed him one tin a day. Ive been wary of adding egg etc as i dont want to make it worse, it seems to happen once a day.
Dont add anything at all for now - till his tum and bum get used to the tinned food. Just feed the amount he should be getting fed - but smaller portions over the course of the day - perhaps three meals then go down to two in a week if his bum tightens up (iyswim).
If it doesn't get any better then that food possibly is too rich and you will need to change0 -
Thanks for all the replies! His poo is getting more formed (sorry for tmi!), so i am going to persevere for a while, and see if it improves further. Fingers crossed. I gave him some egg today with it, and he definately feels heavier when i pick him up. Hes extremely happy and has taken over the sofa next to me,curled up with my other dog...oh says he misses me!:rotfl:0
