Good day at work today. Have booked Monday off as the systems are being taken down so I'll have nothing to work on. As I'm off on Friday and only have a morning commitment, it'll make it a nice long weekend.

But I'm off to fly in the bathroom and rifle through the freezer for something for dinner. G&B's venison stew is tempting - I have some venison in there - but I think I'll leave that until the weekend. Will probably do salmon steaks with something or other.

My stew was absolutely delicious, i used a delia recipe which is for braised beef au poivre in red wine sauce. Just used the venison instead and added chestnut mushrooms for the last half hour. Would highly recommend it:D

Do you need the recipe soappie or do you have it? It is in her winter collection.

Newby money saving chick - hugs for you and your mum xx

Justamum - take care, don't fly too much (it's bad for you:rotfl: )

Slight moan now - I had to go and see the head teacher today because DS has had his school jumper, coat and pe kit nicked in the past few weeks (so have other children). I got told that 'at least you can afford to buy new ones' and that they'll probably get nicked again - I mean, what sort of response is that. He then tells me that as i'm at home a lot at the moment could I start teaching my son some of the cirruculum at home to 'further him'. He says there's so many children who are behind at school due to disruption that children like my son need to do some of the work at home. Now, whilst I support my children 100% I reckon he should be sorting out the disruption. I've told him to put what he wants me to do and why he wants me to do it in writing and then i'm going to have to do something about it. The teachers are absolutely fab at this school but the head needs to find a backbone! Ok, rant over! xx

Hi, I have been trying to fly but have been taking it in very small bites as my back has been dreadful since before Christmas. It is amazing how quickly the whole has can deteriorate under piles of detritus when there are so many living here.

I haven't been able to keep up with posts so have just been looking in at the lists ocassionally and want to say thanks to pigpen for all her hard work.
