OK - here I am again! So far today the bed's been changed, the second load of washing is in the machine (first outside on line!) all the mirrors have been cleaned, plus two glass-topped tables, livingroom quick-dusted, the bathroom and cloakroom basins are gleaming....and that doesn't seem nearly enough result for the time put in! Need to restore order in the kitchen next, I think. Good luck to all on the job-seeking front.

    Morning all

Tidied up and S&Sd kitchen this morning (I cleaned it yesterday). Had haircuts, then took the dog out, then came back and vacuumed right through downstairs.

I had to take the dog out first because the shopping is due this morning and I needed to make sure I was back for 10 even though they never ever get here for 10.

One load of washing done and just hung out on the line.

I've moved a load of videos/DVDs back into the little bedroom and filled up the three shelves on the wall. We have a free standing shelf unit to put back for the rest but we need to alter one of the shelves first so that will probably be tomorrow.

I've ordered a folding crate with my shopping today which I intend to fill with stuff DS has left here and never somehow gets round to sorting out. DDs are going up to see him in April so I'm going to give them the crate and he can either sort it out or chuck it away!

I'm listening to the new Killers album which DD2 has lent me. I asked for it for Christmas but didn't get it. Or the book or DVD I asked for....Nobody listens to me.

Blind man due this afternoon (I'll let you insert the joke).

Off to catch up with posts now.
  • Hello all - I am in again - didn't post last week although I was flying (after a fashion :embarasse)

Spent far too much time reading the thread and not enough time doing the jobs so am going to try and do it the other way round this week - logged on this morning at 9.15 to look for list and still here and have done nothing so far except chase the recycling man with a bag of rubbish :naughty:!

Would love to get involved with the chat but am very un-disciplined when I get on the PC and can lose hours each day - probably why the house looks as it does:grin:

Here is my list for today - should be able to get to level 3 as pretty clear today until Rainbows after school.

Monday - kitchen and dining mess
    Level One
    Clear and wipe work surfaces
    Wipe and replace small appliances
    Level Two
Empty a cupboard.. clean it out then wipe and replace everything neatly.. get rid of all the odds and sods that shouldn't be in there..desperately need to do this to several of my cupboards..........
Wipe the front of the units, kickboards and the large appliances
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Level Three
Wipe dining table and replace cloth if needed
Clean the oven and hob- and put in that nifty oven liner that I got from lakeland last week!
    De-web and fluff the room
    Extras
    1. Wash the windows
    2. HHI
    3. wipe out the fridge
    4. clean out the vacuum cleaner.. wash the filters and when dry replace then!
    5. Make dentists appointments for me and girls
    6. Book boiler service
    7. Phone architects re drawings
    8. DON'T FAFF!!!!!

My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............Only check thread when jobs done and something to add/cross off :rolleyes2

Right off I go - better late than never!! - Have just spent half an hour fiddling with my avatar - will I ever learn???????????

Had a lie in this morning, Boyfriend had stomach cramps all night so didn't get much sleep and now he's refusing to go back to bed and keeps running to the loo!!

Started writing my long list, I'll keep going with that today. Doing level 1, maybe 2, this week as got an exam on Thursday ahhhh. But i cleaned the oven and hob on Saturday so it isn't too bad. Anyone got any hints on how to clean my vacuum cleaner by the way? No dishwasher so has to be done by hand.

    My list for today -
Monday - kitchen and dining mess
    Level One

    Clear and wipe work surfaces
    Wipe and replace small appliances
    Level Two
Empty a cupboard.. clean it out then wipe and replace everything neatly.. get rid of all the odds and sods that shouldn't be in there..
Wipe the front of the units, kickboards and the large appliances
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Extras
    1. HHI
    2. wipe out the fridge
    3. clean out the vacuum cleaner.. wash the filters and when dry replace then!
Hugs to those who need them, healthy vibes for poorly flyers and family!

Will also have a shufty att the bank charges thread too. I need some courage, I went to pieces re that tax credit form last night because I couldn't remember some key dates and to be frank the thought of getting embroiled in government agencies and getting things wrong terrifies me. I've been treated really badly by them in the past and get really wobbly about them.

Same with the banks, I don't have the tenacity/confidence to fight them off when they get heavy, I'm all for a stress free life :o But I'll give it a go.

I know just what you mean, I decided to go self employed (as well as employed!) with ebay the year DH died. Of course the finances got chucked in the air and now my tax return is a nightmare as there is the s/e stuff, employed stuff, pension stuff and benefit stuff to put on there  When I have to call anywhere and discuss anything to do with DH and the reason we are getting stuff I can get emotional v quickly without even wanting to so tend to put it off. Hence me trying to sort all this today. Add into the mix me moving funds to try and get the best rates and I lose track of what is where etc. It is all logged on money and I have the statements but it is a ball ache to get it all done.

BUT I have make good progress so far :) Just having a quick break before I recommence.
