Ohhh, I missed this one off the list earlier... No.1 must have been written by all our kids I think...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
If you could change one thing about your Mum, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my Mum smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it and not me.
3. I would like her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
Flower - my DS used to be convinced I had eyes in the back of my head - he would ask me if I could see him with my 'back eyes' - pure science and sufficient reflective surfaces in the room, along with instinct, allowed me to pull THAT one off...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: same here - don't you love it when they're that age that they just don't get how you do stuff... It's all magic and wizardry to them...
I used to have a dart tag for when I went to work in Dartford (over the QE2 bridge for anyone who's wondering.. or not..:D ) and because it was stuck under the mirror, they never really noticed it and I used to say, right, click your fingers five times and we won't have to pay to go through... they'd click their fingers and up would go the barrier - got em every time...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I miss those days...

valli & toots - thanks for the ideas on masks...
valli - local handmade chocs sounds great - something they wouldn't buy for themselves and it won't clutter things up! And they can either open them while you're there or save them for a special occasion.
toots - well done on the ebaying. Fingers crossed they go well.
julie - try sitting down and doing nothing... if you can remember how!
Well done michelle & hex!
fbb - you will need to deal with all the stuff under the bed at some point, but if you find you don't look at it for a couple of months, you might find you don't actually need it
oddjob :rotfl: :rotfl: I think that's made it VERY clear!
Why does this country grind to a halt when it snows? I've just had to call the gym and cancel my class bookings for this week, as I know that if there are more than half a dozen snowflakes I won't be able to get there as the road will be blocked by idiots who either a. fall of the road because they're going too fast & then braking or b. try to get lorries up the hills.
What's slightly embarrassing, given I haven't been to the gym that much in the past few months... is that the receptionist recognised my voice and knew who I was, and would normally nag me about cancelling, but has let me off this time as she knows where I live! I'll still go if the weather is OK, but don't want to risk a cancellation charge.
Still trying to get rid of this headache... have taken more drugs... am making hot water bottles & bedtime tea, then going to have an epsom salt bath.0 -
Well ,
I'm so chuffed with myself this week! House is lovely and tidy and even smells nice! Four bags out to charity and loads of stuff organised to photograph to sell on ebay!
I've been very inspired by all your encouraging words of wisdom! Thank you can hardly wait for next weeks thread to see what tomorrow will entail!!!

Afternoon everyone, been MIA but back for now.
Diva candle lit here for your friend.
Soappie well done on the tiling.
Lil_me crap about the damp, hope it can be sorted.
Pigpen congrats to your sister and fingers crossed for DS's GF that all goes well.
Dusty hope you had a nice time today, where you at a spa or something?
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday to all i've missed.
Hugs to everyone that needs one and sorry if i've missed anyone out but brain's like mush at the minute.
This last couple of weeks have been mad here with school trips and other club trips. Hubby has been unwell but we think we have that sorted now but too be honest it has worn me down alot.
We did managed to make £120 on ebay last week (well it was hubby's stuff) but then our tv blew up  (waiting now to hear from insurance as the screen had took a knock) fingers crossed it will be sorted out quickly. Then to top it off one of the goldfish died this morning so kids gutted.
On the flying front i've been doing the dailies and today managed to completely finish our room.:j :j :j
Question what is a white wash and what temp is that as i do a white wash but only put it at 40, am i doing something wrong?Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
white wash is washing white stuff. I personally do mine at 40 deg too and use biological usually.
You are supposed to be able to do them cooler. The washing of whites is to stop them taking on other colours - but once my stuff has been through a few times I wash pale stuff with whites too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
