AnWsMum Sorry you're having MiL trouble. I haven't got a Mil:D:D:D:D:D:D - maybe take Triker's sound advice... MiL has a job to do here - making their dad's childhood real and vivid for A and W and not being so bl00dy self centred...and being mature - pah! Some people!

Thanks Valli and everyone else for your advice, sorry to dump it all on here I just had to get it out of my system :o She won't change and I know that so it's a case of grin and bear it just like this

Cazzie - How do Soda Crystals help clean the oven?? Please share?!??!!

I read on here a couple of weeks back that you could soak the oven shelves in the bath with hot water and soda crystals and all the grease and yuck will just slide off... I wanted to try it at the time but had no soda crystals and have been meaning to buy them since

Now, I hope I've got that right and I haven't just dreamt it!!!!

Hope everyone ok.. happy flying xxx

Morning all. I'm in - sort of! And thank you for the welcome back.

Dailies already done for today. I was going to change DS's bed, but that would be cruel as he hasn't slept all night - again , despite Zopiclone, Pregabalin and anti-inflammatories! He's currently sleeping on the sofa coz I made him come down for a drink and his meds, but he couldn't face his breakfast. I might change his bed when I get home from work so it's fresh for him tonight.

Oddjob - 4 people, 2 dogs, 2 cats, a tank of tropical fish and the occasional foster puppy or three, so yes, this thread affects all of us by keeping things "a bit" more controlled!

I did write to the bank about charges, had a letter back more or less saying that they explained all about their charges up front and that they were deemed fair (or words to that effect) so never took it any further. Like Triker said, I'm frightened as we often end up in the Oh Dear's, so didn't want to be cut off with DD's etc waiting to be paid. :o Not sure what to do know, whether I should write the first letter again or what?

Tiles - I've tried all sorts on my shower room floor tiles. They are like the sort you would find in a swimming pool changing room (not our choice, they were already here), lots of little raised squares in each tile that hold the dirt around the edges. We've used a steamer, yard brush, star drops, bleach and an acid preparation and they're still icky! (although certainly clean enough to walk on).

Another job application completed and ready to post today. One more in progress that I'll complete tonight.

Off to Abertridwr shortly - Application of Number session with one candidate. We're getting a lot of pressure to complete a certain number by the end of this month, but as I was off for so long, it's not going to happen. I've doen 2 out of the 3 they asked for. The third one (you'll like this!!!) couldn't come last Monday, as she had been sent home from work with severe back ache (doc had told her it was muscular). She said she would come and see me on Tuesday and would have completed in 2 hours. She was in agony, pacing the floor and in tears, so I sent her home. Her mother said she couldn't wait for her planned hospital appointment at 4 o'clock, took her straight there and half an hour later she had a 5lb baby girl! :T

But I'm still getting flack for not completing her qualification. She wouldn't tell me she was pregant, it was only what I'd been told by another member of staff, she was very tiny, wore baggy jumpers and had the baby 5 weeks early. If I had notified my manager, I would have been breaching her confidentiality, which I have to train them about. I can't win!

I've got mince out for dinner coz DD wants spaghetti bolognese, and while that's cooking, I want to dust the dining room and lounge, as well as giving the kitchen a clean. (Cooker already done :T) I might even get the floors done.

    Might be back later.

Johanne - completely off topic, and I'm no expert, but having lived with ME (with DS) for 8 years, don't discount it just because you are not ill enough! There are huge variations in ability from being very mildly affected (our local Dog Grooming Parlour Proprietor works full time in her own business) to being hospitalised and tube fed (one of DS's friends, now fully recovered and in uni). Have a look here: http://www.ayme.org.uk/article.php?sid=10, find the Functional Ability Scale and find a doctor who actually listens to the WHO Directive.Huge hugs, hun, and make sure you get all the rest you need to look after Pumpkin.
