afternoon all, i have rented a carpet cleaner today and am currently doing that, sat feeding the baby and reading this thread for 10 minutes and then back to it.
it's disgusting the colour of the water. yuck yuck, oh the joy of cream carpets and kids!

    Afternoon girlies ***cof***
Still not 100% - went to bed last night BEFORE the kids - they had strict instructions to 'turn everything off' - only 1 light left on:rolleyes:
But did do 3 loads of washing - 1inc 2 overnight (I had it ready - I knew I would not sleep through) and 1 I put in this am so it's all blowing/drying nicely as it's breezy, sunny and cold in Valliland today.
Spent 5 minutes gazing at the helicopter overhead around 10am .. then got to town and heard a body has been found. have heard no more other than it's very local. ExOH still alive though so it's not him...

Valli - glad to see your inner princess is still on form, but you really should be languishing on the sofa being waited on hand and foot at this stage of such a debilitating illness ;)
Chance'd be a fine thing - but DD managed to bring me 1 glass of hot lemon...

    Well

I have a letter from the CSA and OH has to up his weekly payments -and pay arrears... we'll see. This is the person who kept back HALF of maintainance (and I am talking £50 per week here for 2) so that 'he had something to spend when he had them on a Saturday'.

I also have a letter from the credit card I transferred balances to on 31 Dec (see sig) as I now have to start paying that off. Trouble is the balance transfers have NOT been made and I still owe on both old cards (paying interest) and the new card...despite my having telephoned them.

Greenbee what's not a proper hobby?:p totally forgot where I have been in the forum! Unless you mean Reversi!

    Go Soappie

and Princess Jane - you'll have to be princess number two on here :rotfl:
***goes to brush tresses and try on glass shoes - now WHERE is that old spinning wheel?***

Well, it's been a funny old week really. I've made some pretty big life decisions. Nothing to report on yet... but, work in progress.

Have noticed that you have not been about much the last couple of weeks - hope they're good 'want to make' life decisions and not ones you've had to make... Good luck with the sorting/storage... going well so far eh!

Thanks... can't believe I didn't think of it myself... it's a good thing you lot are here. It's like having an extra (working) brain available ;) I've been trying to work that out all week!

I know what you mean, sometimes there is too much going around in the head for common sense to get a look in...

I'm about to try the battery - it's been out of the freezer for about two hours... wish me luck...

Anyway had yet another of my mad decluttering episodes this morning. It was DS bedroom that got it this time;) I've rearranged, defluffed and hoovered much to his annoyance;) But it looks better and he has much more room now. Just need to go through the drawers and cupboard and have a chucking out session.
I need to do DS's bedroom cupboards, but am scared.... :rolleyes2
He has also got up late today, but has to feed the dogs, empty the dishwasher and load it up (he should have done that last night), tidy his bedroom (10 minutes in 'normal' working time, 2 hours in DS land) and clean out his terrapin, the poor thing hasn't been done in a while... so he now has the hump because he wanted to get up when his dad left (5am) and start then as he wanted to go out... my fault of course, even though I called and he couldn't get up...;) Another happy day then...

Diva - candle lit and message sent... Hope it helps... :A

Soappie - way to go! :T :T Hope you're resting lots between laying, mind your back...

    So far today I have:
    • sorted out some paperwork that needed doing
    • Polished the sofas (dusty along backs - how does it get so bad in such a short time?)
    • Vacuumed hall, stairs, downstairs WC and lounge and am about to do kitchen
    • Dusted and polished all of lounge
    • stuck rug down on floor in living room coz I keep sliding on it
    • put all carp on stairs ready to go up (lots of it... )
    • cleaned woodwork in hall and polished furniture (all of one console table...:D )
So am about to have a cuppa :coffee: - anyone want to join me?...:coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

ETA: Hope you feel better soon Valli - sounds like a nasty cough you've got there... :)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon all :hello:

DD let me have another "long" lie-in until gone 11am, good job since I didn't get to bed until 2.20am :o Her bedroom is a tip though and she's broken yet another game  So we've decided to tackle her room today, having a good sort out as we still haven't homed all of her Christmas stuff! So her room will be level 3ed today. Also planned for today is all the laundry so I can do the ironing tonight and study tomorrow. :D So my proper list is :
    • Bath (for me - I will get into a clean bed tonight as well! )
    • Laundry - (darks, whites, pink, bedding, towels)
    • DD's room
    • Bath for DD
    • Make beds
Best get a move on since its already nearly 2pm
