Anglian fitted our windows about 20 years ago and they still look like new. OK, they are a bit more expensive but worth it. Only one problem in that time was lock trouble on a patio door and that was fixed without delay.
  • The Window Shop Wales (in Rhondda) did ours, they were good, no pressure whatsoever, resonable price, and havnt had 1 problem, they even cleaned up after themselves!

  • I don't know if you are still looking, but I had my windows and doors with Gowerglaze Window Co Ltd of Gorseinon in Swansea. The quality of them is fantastic, they were fitted with extreme care and nothing was too much trouble. I don't think you could go wrong with this company. They weren't the cheapest but you certainly get what you pay for. I would recommend them to anyone.

A mate of mine runs a business called Aquaseal, and is based in Clydach (844 276). I know that he's a good tradesman, and won't rip you off. There again, you don't know me, but you might be able to get some feedback from other locals who may have used them.

I recently bought a conservatory from Dunraven windows and had no problems at all, all staff were friendly and efficient and the work was carried out with the minumum of inconvenience.
  • ive worked in the double glazing business, can reccommend two companies , peter fennell and dg windows, both based in ystrad rhondda,

    First post so here goes..
OP (see I know some terminology!) has probably sorted out double glazing by now but I agree with all those who say NOT DUNRAVEN! I don't like their sales tactics at all.

For the Swansea area I would strongly recommend BJ Bevan. A family firm. They were efficient and didn't play games. Their work men were reliable and they did what they said when they said it. All work is FENSA guaranteed and they are members of guild of craftsmen.

We called them (came recommended) and they came and offered a quote which was half the price of Dunraven's 'discounted' price. They knew what they were talking about and put no pressure on us whatsoever.

I honestly am not on their pay roll and am not family or friends!

I used SafeStyle - terrible terrible service and price. Wanted 1 other window fittng (bathroom) after having the front done with them, £550 + £60 surveyor fee.

Monmouth Windows - £160 for window, if you want it fitting they charge £80. So £240 - decent window, we're going with them for the rear of the house.
  • I can highly recommend ultimate windows of glanamman near ammanford very good quality and service and the price is good aswell.

  • Give Simon a go from upvcproblems.co.uk 07932 350 161

He doesn't have huge overheads and will supply and fit all upvc products. He'll quote for free in the South Wales (Cardiff) area.

He does excellent work and has been in the business for many years.
