Is Ramsay inc down the sink. Oh F**K

Some of Gordon Ramsays restaurants used to have a 2 month waiting list for a table. Not any more it seems, has he gone too far too fast.

Crisis for Gordon Ramsay's restaurant empire as credit crunch bites
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Can't see it happening - the mark up on restaurant food is astronomical and ramsey probably has more chance of pulling in the crowds than some anonymous restaurant in the same high street. The fact there is normally a waiting list will only prove to be an opportunity for anyone else to eat there without needing to wait 2 months.

His restaurant chain is definitely not a flash in the pan! :D

And he earns £15million a year so if they do get into trouble it's a drop in the ocean for him to prop them up.

Question is - has he borrowed to fund these ventures or reinvested profits?

These level of restaurants are on a sticky wicket because three courses of food is not worth mega bucks. Once the 'brand' is finished - be it throigh relentless growth or through people realising 'brand' snobbery is just smoke and mirrors all that is left is a plate of pompous food - worth, what, £25 for three courses?

To cheer real people up Bella Italia was very busy yesterday - we had to wait for a table and we couldn't get a table today for sunday lunch at our local sports club, they were full.
  • hes gons bust once years ago, and has learnt from it.

And being worth 15 million means it doesnt matter if his cahin goes down

    PN. I love your eloquence.

No tears shed over the collapse of this:
A seafood restaurant which was featured on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares show has closed because of the credit crunch.
Love’s fish and seafood restaurant in St James’s Street, Kemp Town, Brighton, was transformed after the fiery chef made owner Allan Love realise he was selling badly cooked meals at high prices.
Mr Love had also never tasted a dish in his own restaurant because he hated fish.

He has all bases covered believe me...he knows the time of day when it comes to taking hard decisions...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
