Vodafone 3G

Hi,

I just wanted to know whether the Vodafone 3G price plans have the same coverage as the normal Vodafone tariff's?

I have had bad experiences with the 3 network, don't want coverage like that again.

where there is no 3g it switches to 2g with no problems. So it is the same coverage as normal vodafone, and none of the switching problems that 3 has

Thats good to here, can I use the SIM in a normal phone or does it have to be a 3G phone?

I upgraded to a 3g phone and kept the same sim on vodafone. Don't need anything different

I got a v3x and you are able to switch to using 2g all the time in the menus - helps with battery life too

Will the Vodafone 3G sim work in a 2G phone?

I was under the impression only 3 use different sim cards, as they don't want people to use 2g as it takes people onto o2, and they have to pay o2 for that. Presumably that doesn't matter for the others as it they are both 2 and 3g.

Not sure though
