tesco burgen bread 54p half price

in Shop but don't drop
Hi just been to tesco and that yummy Bergen bread is half price 54p! I stocked up for the freezer.

    Right - this means a few questions .....

    1. Which store ?
    2. Was this a new sale price offer for a week or two or just some reduction of some loaves that they can't sell tommorrow ?
    3. If NOT the latter reason, how long is the offer on for?
    4. Was this the REAL YUMMY HI-BRAN Burgen or the not so good "Linseed & Soya" variety or BOTH ?

    I got the hi bran one in my Tesco today.......looked like all varieties were half price, including one with cranberries.

    Cranberry one is yummie, a bit more expensive, i think it was 61p, but it is very good

    well the only variety left on the shelves was linseed & soya so I think they are all half price, apparently they all have new wrappers so this is to advertise this. Should be all stores I'm in E Anglia.

    Not sure if the offer is still on but I had purchased some special packs of the Pure dairy free spead before: http://www.tesco.com/superstore/product/shelf.aspx?shelfId=F51GP# and they had a 25p off voucher inside so if you're in-store and need margarine, look out for this too to go with the bread! The voucher states for Soya & Linseed variety though, only ever seen this one in my area.

    Sadly all the stores I've been to only have the Linseed&Soya or the new Cranberry variety for sale, and the shelves were bare in 2 of them.

    No HiBran anywhere in sight.

    Tried the Cranberry - very nice - although I think I prefer the normal HiBran

    A SEL in one store said this offer was on until 21st Feb so still 3 weeks to grabbit when you see it - looks like it is a fast selling line at the minute.

    This bread is gorgeous - even my kids are eating it. One said that it (the cranberry) tastes like fruited teacakes!
    The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

    Havent seen or tried the others but I love the linseed and soya one. Dont even mind paying full price as it is fab.
