Renewed 3 contract - now want to cancel

Hi guys,
I rang up 3 today to cancel my contract, and somehow ended up agreeing to a new 18-month term. Upon reflection, this probably wasn't a good idea - do you think I could cancel it, or not?
Cheers

you should be able to cancel your contract cos there should be a 14 day cooling off period, where you can cancel your upgrade if you want.0

Hello temporaryflux,
I had the same "problem" a couple of months ago!
If you agreed to receive a new handset, you will have to call up the customer service and say you want to cancel the new contract and return the new handset. They will send you a prepaid envelop to return the phone within 5 days after receiving it.
Very important: if you decide to open the box of the new handset and have a look, do not insert any SIM card in the phone otherwise they will say you used the phone and you will not be able to cancel the new contract.
Everything should go smoothly... at least it was for me!

Yep, if you are not going to keep the handset don't bother opening it, I changed my mind when I got an upgrade with them and sent it back no problem.0
