o2 Carphonewarehouse to direct o2
I just had a quick question to ask. I'm with o2 through carphonewarehouse but I want to go directly with o2 without losing my number. I hate carphone warehouse.
I called up o2 but they told me I need to get a PAC. I'm abit confused as my contract is still run by o2.
I was just wondering if anyone has ever gone from o2 CPW straight to o2 and whether it was a simple process?

Because they are on different systems it is the same as porting your number to a different network (seems strange as o2 CPW to o2). Nothing is apparently simply with o2 CPW as apparently they try to make you jump through hoops to get the PAC (though not experienced it myself, as they have come up with cracking retention deals!).
Apparently the process is changing in September, where the receiving network can process the request (and it will happen in literally hours, rather than days), but that does not help you at the moment.

I remembered I had to request the PAC code in writing before they would issue me which was a pain and it was a blatant delaying tactic. And yes, you do need a PAC moving from CPW O2 to O2 direct.0

Thanks guys, really appreciate your help. I'm really dreading it. I hate CPW and their customer service is absolutely horrendous (both phone and in person).
I really want to keep the number else I would have just cancelled the damn thing!0 -
If you are an O2 customers and buy an iPhone contract through CPW, they automatically move you over to O2 - as CPW O2 doesn't handle iPhone contracts.Prof planning and public rights of way person. Studies all things tech!0

Thanks Mandark but I really never want to deal with anything to do with CPW and most certainly don't want them benefiting from any of my money. CPW really are one of the worst companies out there.0

I have O2 contracts with CPW and O2.
Always received all the cash backs from CPW but sometimes I had to ask for them.
My current sim only deals with CPW at £5 month is better than anything O2 offered and we reached an agreement quickly. I had to explain the deal I wanted to O2.
If you make any mistakes with CPW they will not help you.0
