Tiscali have a new online help thing going on now where you can raise a ticket with them at support@tiscali.co.uk and can get things sorted better, and best of all you don't have to talk to anyone.Tiscali are the worst provider around. If you ever get a problem they are totally unable to sort it. 4 months, hours of phone calls, lots of promises and recorded delivery letters ignored. My problem is with Pipex who I originally changed to from tiscali which were fine until Tiscali took them over.
you can find it in your account under help.

Hi Heinz,That sounds like you use Primus as your CPS calls provider. In which case, 1471 is a BT service (your incoming calls still arrive on BT) - and is free.
In any case, where did you get the information that Primus charge £5 for 1471?
I left primus cos they started sending me paper bills after the no bill thing last year, so I rang them up when I noticed a £1.50 charge on my bill, this was for the admin charge for the paper bill, I said I never asked for paper bills so can you please cancel them and I will go back to the online bill, they said ok but didn't cancel, so I ended up cancelling primus all together, that was 4th November when I got a new telephone number, and rang them and cancelled, so from that day I didn't use them, I got my final bill for up to 4th of November lat week so went and paid this it was for £3.45 I got another bill today for £3.45 this is for admin charges, it would seem that there computer has gone right up the swany cos the guy I spoke to today says they didn't send me any bills...
...that I am no longer a customer so why would they, and to ignore any further bills.
what do you think.
Ice.

THanks Heinz, I read it somewhare in this forum but not sure where, most of the time my monthly bill is around a tenner, but it can jump to twice that for no known reason so I just presumed that it was for that 1471 charge, I could be wrong though. It seems that every company you turn to is owned by one of the big boys, My broadband is currently with feedom to surf, who are now owned by Tiscali I think!0

Thanks for the advice everyone, don't mind the thread being hijacked! I would love to have one company take care of calls, line and broadband but it seems you cant trust any of them, cant get the sky package but have been looking at Madasafish!? anyone had any dealings with them? line rental and eve and w/e calls free for £9.75. and £9.65 for broadband (for the first six months.) My calls are with primus but I was rather alarmed to find out they charge a fiver for 1471! anything can beat that if you ask me.
I have been with Madasafish now for almost 2 years.Never had any problems, have the whole works, including broadband. The changeover from BT was smooth.Like their wireless broadband. When i first changed to them BT did not own them but haven't noticed any drop in speed or quality.
have pm'd you too0 -
Finally, I am with Tiscali for the lot, just got my final Bt bill, £61 this is from 1st December until now, and I have yet to pay Tiscali, so all in all, I got there in the end...
I migrated to Tiscali from Bt on 29th November 2008, and have finally got there.
