Ebay help re non paying buyer

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a bit of advice? I listed an item as a buy it now on ebay, it sold within 4 days of me listing however the buyer never paid. I sent an invoice & contacted them via ebay to ask if they still wanted the item. After 9 days I put in a payment not recieved & as I heard nothing, I closed the dispute & got the fvf back to me,now the buyer has a strike against her account (even though low feedback out of 35 transactions something like a 78% feedback) she has decided to contact me everyday & keeps telling me to remove the strike or she will get me struck off ebay as I am a liar & crook, these emails are getting worse. I logged on this morning & she has sent me two messages (I have had 5 messages from her in 3 days)& I really can't believe that someone would sent me such nasty messages. I have ignored every message so far & I think that is winding her up .. I gave her every opportunity to let me know that she no longer wanted the item. (I also notice that during this time she was listing & brought one other item)

Please if anyone can help me I would be very gratfeul

Many thanks

Ginga

Stand your ground, and report the emails to ebay. Then block her emails so you don't have to read them.

Well done for giving a well-deserved strike.

don't remove the strike. if you do remove the strike the final value fee credit will be reversed meaning it will be re-charged to your account.

Also if you do reverse the strike she will then be free to leave your feedback.

Make sure as well that you have your seller preferences set to exclude bidders with two or more strikes, it is a very useful tool and blocks a number of bidders.

  • i've got a non paying bidder as well. I heard that they'd get a strike if they don't respond, but what happens if they do respond? Will they still get a strike?

The process is that on day 7 you open the dispute (just make sure it is a full dispute), the buyer then has 8 days in which to respond. if they respond by paying then you can send the goods , if they respond but don't pay you can still close the dispute at that point and they will get a strike. They do remain able to leave feedback though. The best result is that they do not respond at all and on day 8 you close the dispute give them a strike and they can't even leave you a negative.

Buyers with 2 or more strikes can be blocked from bidding on auctions, so make sure you have your seller preferences set correctly.

I didn't know that I could exclude bidders with two or more strikes, I will investigate this...

I won't reverse the strike, why should I?? The last message has just come through & it says that she is sorry for any misunderstanding, however she changed her mind. works nights so couldn't contact me. & that also her daughter is dying from cancer & she was taking backwards & forwards to hospital, & I should take pity...

I am sorry for anyones situations, but if she would have contacted me & let me know what was happening, it won't have been a problem, & why change the tact now???? If she can still buy & list items, then I am sure she could have dropped me a line to say I have make a mistake...

All I am worried about is that ebay, hold it against me as she keeps saying that if I don't undo what I have done, she will get me kicked off!!!! I have over 1000 feedback all positive..

Do we think she is bluffing?

I am worrying about something & nothing??

Mnay thanks for all your help

    Thanks

She has no grounds for kicking you off- you followed the non-payer process.
