We've got a local that drives round in a sports car, their reg is B2 GAY (True story!)
A guy that used to own a gay club in Milton Keynes (might still own it i'm not sure) had the numberplate B1 GAY. I thought that was great! This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -

Yes, the profits includes putting the plate on retention or onto another car. No I have not tried to sell the plates - as I'm not a trader - just somebody who refused to pay £1500 for a plate with my initials to hide the age of a car !0 -

Couldn't you put the screw a bit lower then somehow make the Ea more like an "N".0 -
I havent done it for a year, so the rules may have changed, but yes, although if the mot has expired then you were still able to do a transfer within a certain time - dvla website has all the details.
But you could get nicked for having illegal plates on vehicle afterwards. Your choice.....Genie

Or have two sets of plates and put the legal ones on for MOT and change to the naff ones after.

We're not talking about passing the MOT and the legality of the plate (visually) but taking a plate off and old banger and putting it on retention.CHEAP doesn't mean ETHICAL0
