We've got a local that drives round in a sports car, their reg is B2 GAY (True story!)

A guy that used to own a gay club in Milton Keynes (might still own it i'm not sure) had the numberplate B1 GAY. I thought that was great!
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Hate when letters/spaces/numbers are all moved about, that really sucks and is of course ilegal.
    I agree entirely

Sounds good. Do the profits include the fees for putting the plate's onto retention/putting them on another car? Have you tried to sell the plates?

Yes, the profits includes putting the plate on retention or onto another car. No I have not tried to sell the plates - as I'm not a trader - just somebody who refused to pay £1500 for a plate with my initials to hide the age of a car !

Also, doesn't the car need to be MOT'd and taxed to take the reg plate off it?

I havent done it for a year, so the rules may have changed, but yes, although if the mot has expired then you were still able to do a transfer within a certain time - dvla website has all the details.

C11 EAT is on a silver Ferrari near me. Put a screw between the 11 to make it look like a H...

Couldn't you put the screw a bit lower then somehow make the Ea more like an "N".

You don't have to put old plates back on...... they just have to be spaced correctly and with correct lettering, may ruin the naff effect, but it will then make it legal and pass the MOT. Or have two sets of plates and put the legal ones on for MOT and change to the naff ones after.

But you could get nicked for having illegal plates on vehicle afterwards. Your choice.....

We're not talking about passing the MOT and the legality of the plate (visually) but taking a plate off and old banger and putting it on retention.
