Virgin Media Cancellation Notice

In a couple of days my ISP is changing from Virgin Media to BT. When I phoned Virgin for my MAC the chap on the phone told me that there was a 36 day cancellation notice from the day of that call and even though my ISP may change within that time I still had to pay them for those 36 days. Is this true ? The operator actually made me feel as though it was a last ditch attempt to stop me from leaving them before reluctantly agreeing to supply my MAC.

Yeah you have to give them around a months notice to cancel the service.0

Thanks for the response. At least I know now that the operator wasn't 'having me on'. You never know with these people :rolleyes:0

It's all in the terms & conditions
