Hi have done this many a time for my friends - if your on vodafone pay as you go or contract - get a pay as u go sim - about £2 from a cheap phone shop or newsagents. Ring 17298 - press option 3 then 2 - it will put you through to an advisor for free without incuring the 25p 191 charge. Ring them and say you want to unlock your phone as your going abroad or summat and want to use it abroad - if they ask how long u've had your phone say about 18months - they'll talk you through it and give you the code for free. The phone has to be locked on to the vodafone network.

You can then put an o2 sim or whatever sim card you like in it

I can confirm this works

All contract phones from Voda should be unlocked

You PAYG sim has to be registered with them and 12mth old otherwise you could incur a £20 charge
