Like the sound of the papermache and balloon. Something to occupy the kids during half term.

  • Count me in

I've 1 coin at the moment... £2.00 and rising...

I've also got a one gallon whisky bottle (empty of whisky unfortunately) into which I have been putting 20p coins for as long as I can remember. It got about a third full when a pal of mine decided to count it - it had in excess of £300 in it! Since then it has got to about half full but is going SO slowly that I have also now started putting 10p coins in. I estimate that it'll take another 1-2 years to fill.

Here's the offer. When it is approaching full I will open a sweep on how much it contains. The winner (or nearest) will gain themselves 50 of those lovely 20p coins.

But someone needs to come and remind me in a couple of years...

I'd like to join the 'club' please.

I currently have £2 in my coin-tube (carefully constructed from the cardboard tube which kitchen foil is wrapped around :D, a two pound coin fits in nice and snug)

Drawed out a tenner from the bank today, went to the local shop and got back three two pound coins.

I don't know whether that was a good or bad thing.
