Well you are ahead of me! Still looking for my first coin. I used to get rid of them when I was given them in change as I hate them in my purse. I like the thought of saving them.

By my reckoning you need another 499,999 coins..............

    Best of luck.

Should we keep the coins until we have a large amount or should we pay them into a savings account when we get 10 i.e £20 = 1 bag and then start getting the intrest?

    Hi Merlin139

It's completely up to you whether to hold on to your coins or bank them. Personally, I am banking mine at the end of each month (whether I have £2 or £50!), so I can start earning interest on it and so that I'm not tempted to spend it as it mounts up.

Yippeeeee, have made it to £30 after nicking a coin from OH! Will probably not get many more this month as I'm a bit skint and can't afford to swap any from family/friends... I will however continue to monitor OH's coinage levels and scan his pockets on a regular basis for £2 coins... :D
